Hmmm.....updates...etc...

I never really know what to say when I don't update my blog for so long. I sometimes draw a blank because there's so much to say yet so much time has passed that it leaves me wondering if it really matters now anyway. Does that make any sense at all? I didn't think so! ; )

I guess I'll just start with a little bead update. I've decided I'm not going to be offering my beads on eBay anymore. There are about 100 reasons why but the main reason is.....I'm bored with it. I've been bored with several aspects of it for a long time now. I only stayed on there as long as I did because a few of my regular customers liked to shop there more than other places. I think many people have changed their minds now though and are slowly switching over to Etsy...or elsewhere. By the way.....that's where my beads are now...pretty much exclusively....web-wise anyway. I'll always say "for now" because I never like to say never to anything. BUT...this is easier for me. I don't have to worry about when something ends or begins or dealing with HTML or server problems. Again.....I'm just not into it anymore. I feel a big relief from it and I'm happy with my decision.

I've been going through a lot of my supplies and selling some of them too. A person could probably open a small business with the multitude of arts and craft supplies I have. I had PMC, polymer clay, molds, resins, paints....no one can have my paints. : ) That's one thing I can't part with...aside from my massive glass collection! If you know anything about me at all over the past few years, you know that I'm trying to simplify my life. So....I convinced myself to get rid of all the items I'm not using and make them available to someone that hopefully will use them. I still have much to go through and I've also decided my next step is going to be getting rid of some of my jewelry supplies. I have a ton of that too!!! I have some things I've never touched and never will touch. I also have tubes of sterling silver for coring beads. Another thing I'm not using! I could go on about this for hours really. I thought about selling some of my rare, long-discontinued glass too but that thought quickly vanished. I'll just stick to everything but my lampwork supplies and paints! I'll still make jewelry here and there but I have way too many beads and findings I don't use or need.

Hmmmm what else??? We still have a lot going on right now. Home repairs and family health issues are front and center but we also have some new enjoyable things going on now too. I'm enjoying the slightly cooler temperatures and I'm so ready for October!!! I feel like there are many good...new things in our future and I welcome the changes with open arms. Sometimes change is really good and I'm looking forward to it in many ways!!!
